Question: What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate “all” have in common? Answer: Democrat leadership.
That question and answer were supplied by a reader in the form of a comment below Chris Cillizza’s article, Drudge-ology 101: McCain, Obama and Media Bias, published this morning in The Washington Post’s The Fix blog. After conducting a bit of research, however, I found credit for the question — and the data to back it up — was owed to conservative talk show host Glenn Beck for a column he published last month. The back-it-up data appears below:
- Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
- Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn’t elected one since 1954;
- Cincinnati, OH (3rd)… since 1984;
- Cleveland, OH (4th)… since 1989;
- Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican Mayor;
- St. Louis, MO (6th)…. since 1949;
- El Paso, TX (7th) Has never had a Republican Mayor;
- Milwaukee, WI (8th)… since 1908;
- Philadelphia, PA (9th)… since 1952;
- Newark, NJ (10th)… since 1907.
It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats, yet are still disadvantaged … hmmm…makes you wonder?
Perhaps, these cities need community organizers like Barack Obama. Ya think?

Add to it the ongoing fiscal crisis in Califorlornia that preceded the Governator, thanks to a liberally-controlled state house and senate; and of course, New Orleans: pre and immediate post Katrina, the city and state were Democrat controlled, and Democrat inept prior to and in the wake of the hurricane.
Absolutely nothing — and I do mean NOTHING — need more be said about giving Democrats and liberals control of ANYTHING, unless the desired result is FAILURE. Even the current Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac crisis? Thanks to a bill signed by Bill Clinton in ‘99, opening the sluice gates to the crisis of today.

Don’t be too lazy to check out a post before you repeat it. Just because Glenn Beck reported it does not make it correct!
Do your background checks before repeating a lie…Thanks
