Despite the fact that poll results released as recently as Sept. 12 show voters strongly favor offshore drilling, the Democrat-led U.S. House of Representatives seems content with passing ‘dry hole’ energy bills rather than allowing expansion of oil and natural gas exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf and elsewhere in the United States. Meanwhile…
- Chinese oil companies continue to suck dry the resource-rich Gulf of Mexico like they have been for years;
- The United States remains dependent upon foreign sources of energy; and
- The costs of goods and services continue to rise at an alarming rate in line with ever-increasing fuel prices.
Editor’s Note: Though Political Graffiti cartoonist David Donar and I usually disagree on political matters, we find ourselves in agreement occasionally. Such is the case with the cartoon above. Thanks, David!

Democrats in Congress — bent on appeasing the envirofascists and global warming fruitcakes in their party — are doing nothing but take empty steps that look good while offering NOT A THING to relieve the energy issues here at home, because (a) they desire donations from the aforementioned whackos and (b) they want the American people to suffer, believing that this will bring Democrats to power. If the American electorate proves that stupid, their suffering will only have begun, what with the Democrat track record of where they’ve been in absolute control of things (just look at cities and states controlled by them for a decade and more, and ’nuff said).

Thanks Bob! I always enjoy having some of my stuff on your site. It gives me street cred! I like to piss off both sides once in awhile. That is what Democracy is all about. I didn’t quite think of my cartoon this way, but I like the different interpretations…and opinions. It benefits all of us!

Enjoyed the blogger conference call and your input. Our website is dedicated to bringing down gasoline prices and all that goes with that, including the burdensome environmental regulations.
With people like Nancy Pelosi, there is all or nothing… If they don’t get their way, they do not compromise which amazes me when Republicans roll over.
It also came to our attention that Iraq has made a deal with China to implement the first oil agreement instead of the US. Know why? Democrats started talking about environmental regulations… ON IRAQ! We have the story from a reliable blog and it was mentioned on Rush Limbaugh’s show.
