Tree-sitting protesters in California are, understandably, a bit crestfallen today. For starters, they’re no longer sitting high above the campus of the University of California-Berkeley. Worse yet, according to an SFGate post, they’ve been hit with a rude surprise since they came down to earth: Judges are socking them with thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees.
Sadly, the entire matter could have been dealt with to the satisfaction of all parties — except the tree sitters, that is — if only university officials had asked themselves the question, What Would Sarah Palin Do About Tree-Sitters?
