This morning, I decided to research and write about what the first 100 days of a Barack Obama presidency might look like if, God Forbid, he wins the presidential election Nov. 4. While finding online predictions about that much-ballyhooed time period proved more challenging than expected, I did find three worth highlighting.
In an Aug. 26 piece at Politico, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is quoted as saying that if Obama is elected, the first 100 days of his administration would be “a period of civility and reaching out to Republicans.” In other words, no change will take place during his first 100 days.
Nancy Morgan predicts in a June 10 post at Death By a Thousand Papercuts, world peace will probably be first on the agenda and explains that Obama, as president, will give all those dictators a good talking to. She adds that he’ll make them see the error of their ways and during the first 100 days of his presidency, the first plank of the Obama World Peace Initiative will take hold: Peace through negotiation. Thugs will lay down their arms, Iran will halt their nuclear program and N. Korea will join the community of man. Soon after, I predict Obama will be exposed as a one-time cross-dressing Miss America contestant.
Finally, Mark Ambinder reported in a May 29 piece at The Atlantic that, by putting health care reform into the 100 day period, Obama is acknowledging that his election would not immediately clear the tracks and usher in a period of glorious liberal accomplishments; instead, he’ll need this artificial booster. Here’s to hoping the tracks are never cleared and to hoping Obama is never elected president in the first place.

the first 100 days of an obama reign would see massive sales at gun stores, food hording, people trying to escape the u.s. as fast as possible, learning to grow their own food, make their own fabric and soap, and the beginning of a revolution starting to bloom.

sam*i*am — I’ve always been a coffee drinker, but I might switch to tea — and tea parties — if Obama gets elected.

Pelosi lies like a cheap rug. If the Democrats were to gain enough seats to have a filibuster-proof Senate, the only reach across the aisle you’d see from her in the House would be “work with us, or you’ll be left in the wilderness, cretins!” If they don’t, she knows she needs liberally-oriented Republicans to enact the socialization of Amerika. That’s her “reach”.
I hope, like you, that we don’t have to find out about Oblahblah’s first 100 days. But, voters are fickle things sometimes.

Skunkfeathers — Voters fickle? You’ve got that right!

Obama will win, because of voter fraud. ACORN & Obama supporters have been signing up dead people and children to vote. Nothing will be done about, cause Obama is “the precious one”!!!!!

Cindy — I hope you’re wrong, but don’t hold a lot of hope that you will be.
