Two days after news broke about Barack Obama supporters in St. Louis threatening free speech via the use of so-called “Truth Squads,” Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt fired back, effectively saying, “There’s no room for B.O. in the White House”:

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.
“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.
“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.
“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts – not a free society.”

Well said, Governor! Message to Nobamiacs and (in) justice officials in Missouri who think it’s Gulag Missouri: this is the United States of America, not the Soviet Union. Take your police state thug tactics and jam them up your (fill in the blank), along with Obama. He lies enough to have you arrest him before you lay a hand on a real American…which your thug threats and tactics prove you ain’t.

This is the perfect place for good national network journalists to step in and provide the American people with an education. Fox News, all the major networks should have reporters put together a segment on what legal issues revolve around the word “truth”, how to differentiate truth and opinion, what is 1st Amendment Free Speech, what is Federal Civil Rights and the role these elected or appointed officials play in the public at large, especially with their threats directed solely at the Obama campaign but not from Obama’s campaign at McCain.
This whole event should lend itself to discussion and debate from schools to the streets and homes of Missouri and America. These people are seriously over the line and We the People need to understand why.

I am from Missouri and there is some information floating around here that is not the truth. It says just the opposite on Obamas tax issues. And such I have done my own research and have found out they are lies. I have checked goverment sites that show which who was for and against some of these things. I learnt a long time ago the tv media is paid off by politicians so you cant make an education decision based on their bias opinion. I bet if Missouri ran the same type on commercials on McCain he would be having a fit too. It would be the same as Obama putting commercials on the air saying. McCain was going to call for war on many more countries and take away all goverment funding other then to use on the defence department. Baseing it on the fact that McCain seems to like to talk about war issues the most and on the debate he said he would cut all funding other then to the vetrans and military. So its all twisting stuff to the point it isnt anything other then false advertising.

Here’s the email I sent my friends and associates, and anyone who has children better pay attention as well or don’t blame anyone else:
Because of the state of this Nation and the impendence of it’s possible demise, I have got to ask your consideration of our freedom. If you think the Dems don’t want to push us into a Socialist/soon-to-be-Communist existence, you ought to rethink it.
How do you feel about “Truth Squads” monitoring and enforcing their interpretation of truth over free speech? Scary, huh? Sounds like something out of Hitler Germany. Would certain words and phrases become illegal and certain speeches a crime? By whose determination? Just which “Squads” would be following the “Truth Squads?” Would they eventually justify “Death Squads?”
If a republic is a free and independent nation and a democracy is a government, just exactly what do (should) Republicans and Democrats primarily support?
