Will Obama Be First Arab-American President?

October 14th, 2008 · 6 Comments

Barack H. Obama Jr.

Todd Lohenry opens a post today at The Right Side of Wisconsin by claiming that, if elected, Barack Obama will be the nation’s first Arab-American president and bases his claim upon a single word reportedly printed on the Democratic Party presidential nominee’s father’s birth certificate.*

Lohenry contends the following:

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side. While Barack Hussein Obama’s father was from Kenya, his father’s family was mainly Arabs. Barack Hussein Obama’s father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father’s birth certificate even states he’s Arab, not African Negro).

Following that train of thought, Lohenry reports that, if elected, Obama will NOT be the first black president — or even the blackest president — in U.S. history.

He goes on to claims that five presidents — Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge — were of mixed-race backgrounds, though that claim has little to do with the key point of this post:

“Does it really matter whether or not Obama is black or Arab?”

You see, if Obama can’t be honest about matters as politically-irrelevant as his ethnic background, how can the American people trust him on matters of greater import?

*Note: I’ve asked Lohenry to send me a link to the primary source of his data — that is, a web site where I might find a copy of Obama’s father’s birth certificate, upon which the 6.25% figure is based — and now await his reply.  Meanwhile, I encourage you to read Lohenry’s entire post and, if you can shed any light on its contents, please let me know.

So I guess you are not American. If we go by were our fathers father is from. McCarthy is an Irish name so I guess you are not 100% American. Barack’s father was born in Kenya and he was raised in Kenya which makes him African. Barack was born in the US which makes him American. I guess that if you are white you get to claim being 100% american but if you are of mixed race you are not American.

So to answer your question Barack Obama will be a 100% American president born in this country and raised by his mother and grandmother who are also 100% American and probably not 100% caucasian being from an area of mixed Indian heritage.

Don — If you’re going to go after my name, at least spell it right. There’s no “h” in McCarty, ya idiot!

We’re talking about race here, not heritage. White is white the world over, and black is black. And yes, it does make a difference if the man is black or Arab. With the majority of Arabs in the world hating America (and if you don’t believe that, spend six months in the middle east on active duty), do we really want one as our commander-in-chief? I don’t.

I am afraid that the cirscumstances tend to lend credibility at Mr. Mccarty’s position. “Cirscumstances” you may ask? Well, why is Barack’s father birth certificate such a closely guarded secret? Barack didnt want to talk about his race or heritage during the campaign, so I am afraid that unless I see his father’s birth certificate I have no other choice but to conclude that the rumors are true. We have the first Black Arab American President. I didnt vote for him, but for those of you who did, now LIVE WITH IT. :-)

If you knew the bible then you’d know that Barak (Barack) is Hebrew in origin.

    Judges 4:6, 16 and Judges 5 and Hebrews 11:2.

Instead of listenting to rumors, why don’t you search out reliable sources. Everyone has something negative to say about Obama because he’s smart, educated, and mainly BLACK. It doesn’t matter that he was raised by his WHITE mother and her WHITE parents and never had a relationship with his African father because all you people see is an “Arab” sounding name. Therefore you judge him by an “Arab” sounding name which is not Arab in origin but Hebrew instead of by his actions. It’s a shame that America still has not shed her racist attitude towards people of color. America has come a long way but still has not reached Dr. Kings full dream as yet.
When God created us in His image, I don’t believe He saw black or white but His children. And to throw some salt on the wound, civilization began in Africa…which has long been proven even before scientist were able to make the connection. This was spoken of by the African slaves and passed down generation to generation…this is something that all black people knew of and something scientist just discovered within the last century…hmmm
America…land of the free and home of the brave…ironic isn’t it?
