More than two weeks ago in a post, Survey: Military Favors John McCain More Than 2-1, I published the results of a Military Times survey of military voters which showed members of the armed forces strongly favor John McCain. Today, I was surprised to find Rush Limbaugh, Fox News Channel and a number of bloggers reporting on the same survey as if it was new news. Just goes to show that you can trust Bob McCarty Writes for the most up-to-date coverage of news and events impacting your life.

Bob, I think the reason this info is getting a second look is due to Colin Powell’s endorsement. On Larry King last night, Tom Brokaw admitted that he spoke to Powell ‘about 2 weeks’ before the MTP interview. That would be right around the time that the poll was first published.
Powell got out there to mitigate the damage from this poll, and to try to convince people that military folks were behind Obama.
It’s good that it’s being re-circulated. People should know the truth about how active duty enlisted men and women think and feel about the potential commander in chief.
23% for Obama, even with 8/10 African American serving for him. That tells me the military does NOT have faith in his leadership.
