McCain-Palin Ticket ‘Locks Up’ Support in Colorado

During a phone conversation this morning, Coloradoan Merry Roloff told me of her family growing tired of dealing with the theft of political signs — specifically, McCain-Palin signs — from the front yard of their home 30 minutes south of Denver.  Shown in the photo above, they’re now using a bicycle lock to secure their replacement sign to a decorative light post in their front yard.

Editor’s Note: Recognize Roloff’s name?  She’s the author of a Barack Obama-inspired poem featured in a post published earlier today on this blog.  I encourage you to give it a look.

Four years ago a genteleman here in Columbus, Ohio had a hard time keeping Kerry signs in his yard. He finally wrapped it and the pole it was on in barbed wire. Didn’t lose that one!!!

I don’t need no stinking signs; I have exercised my right to vote and to be informed. I have made my informed choice through the freedom to be educated, or not. I have carefully examined the candidates, the issues, and the state ballot initiatives, so that I can tune out and reject the radio and TV commercials that are frequently so much propaganda.

My vote is for freedom, security, lower taxes, no to socialism, support of our enemies, unions, and progressive repression against freedom of speech and thought.

    McCain/Palin ‘08.
