Essentially she was promoting her latest book. The conference was sponsored by and mostly attended by biblical scholars. (No, I am not one, but I do like to attend the lectures:) I won't say she was booed off the stage, but a lot of people simply got up and walked out, leaving huge gaps of empty seats in the auditorium.
