President Ronald Reagan got it right when he offered both an assessment of the threat to this country posed by socialism and words of advice to citizens on how to deal with elected officials and the threat of socialism.

I don’t beleive our Congressmen and women listen to us. I know I wrote Congressman Roy Blunt several times before the bailout vote, and I know many others did to. To this day, and I do live in Missouri’s Greene County, which is the largest Republican county in Missouri, I have not met one person who supported the bailout. I really feel Mr. Blunt has some explaining to do. I have not had any responses to my letters and e-mails to him.

We traditional capitalistic freedom loving individuals must band together to fight this battle that has been set before us. History is repeating itself. We must or we will perish sitting on our behinds!

John — You’ve got that right! For what it’s worth, Reagan signed my commission as an Air Force officer almost a quarter-century ago, so I’m ready!
