Planned Parenthood continues to lose taxpayer funding across the country, but the fight to eliminate funding for the massive pro-abortion organization continues.

CUTS IN TEXAS

The latest governmental agency to revoke Planned Parenthood funding is the city council in Corpus Christi, Texas.  On Tuesday, members of the council pulled $30,000 in funding for the abortion business from the city’s $500,000 youth development budget.  More details are available via this article published in the Corpus Christi Caller-Times yesterday.

CUTS IN GEORGIA

The cut in funds in Texas comes only days after officials in Fulton County, Ga., canceled a $420,000 contract and effectively severed a decades-old relationship that involved funding for the promotion of contraception and birth control through the state’s family planning program.  To see how Georgia liberals view the cuts, see this article in the Atlanta Progressive News.

THE FUNDING BATTLE CONTINUES

According to a pro-life contact in South Texas, the Nueces County Hospital District in Corpus Christi is poised to hand Planned Parenthood $70,000 next week.  Based on that tip, I contacted Janie Ybanez at NCHD this morning and requested information about the Planned Parenthood funding issue.
