"Yikes! I Might Be...Militia!"
It came as no surprise to learn this morning that Penny Pritzker is likely to turn down an offer by President-elect Barack Obama to serve as his Secretary of Commerce. After all, she has too many skeletons in her closet.
The “news” surfaced in a Washington Post article
Hotel heiress Penny Pritzker, who commanded Barack Obama’s record-shattering fundraising operation, has run into business obstacles that will likely prevent her from becoming Commerce secretary, sources close to the president-elect said.
If Pritzker’s name doesn’t ring a bell, perhaps I can tickle your memory about her skeletons.
In February, I wrote about Pritzker in a post, Obama Finance Chair Tied To Subprime Scandal, that included this disturbing information:
According to a Forbes article (Shaking the Family Tree by Stephane Fitch) published Sept. 30, 2002, “(Pritzker) represented her family’s half-interest in Superior Bank, a thrift operating in the Chicago suburbs” that “ran into trouble early in 2001 when a large number of subprime loans went into default.
Seven months later, I wrote about her role as the person whose New York City hotel hosted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his most-recent visit to the United Nations:
Today, Rush Limbaugh mentioned her name on his radio program. For what you ask? He learned that a reception for Mahmound Ahmadinejad will be held at the Pritzker-owned Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City when the Iranian president visits the United Nations next week.
At the close of that post, I asked the question, “How long will it be until Obama throws Pritzker under the bus?” If the Post is correct in predicting she won’t take the Commerce post, the answer to that question becomes, “Never,” as Pritzker seems willing to throw herself under the bus to save Obama some grief.

Mr. McCarthy. It’s really funny that Ms. Pritzker was totally shock to find out Mr. Obama wanted her for Secretary of Commerce. The last two years of working together this was never discuss, PLEASE. She didn’t do all of this work as his financial campaign manager without a motive of some kind. She didn’t want the Superior Bank failure mentioned and didn’t want to disclose her assests. Here is a perfect example of what put this country on its knees. Someone that caused one of the largest bankrupt in US history. Known as The Queen of The Sub Prime Lending, People like her is why, this country is in the shape that its in. Obama never talked about what she cost us taxpayers, and that DREAM Mr. Obama wants everyone to have, was taken away for 1405 depositor’s. And we the taxpayer’s had to step up and help out a Billionare, she doesn’t have to Dream, she is living the Dream of Dreams. Failed Superior Bank and she just paid the biggest class action settlement filed against other company she owes Trans Union Credit. And lets not forget the 750 million dollars we the taxpayer’s paid to bail out a billionaire., on Superior bail out -Still owes the FDIC 450 million, and then she is rewarded with a position in Mr. Obama cabinet that we are paying for her advise, to help figure a way to get us out of this economy tail spin.
Here’s an idea Mr. Obama the 750 and 450 is over a billion dollars, how about asking her to pay back the money for the debt she incurred, to help us little people in this economy tailspin.
