On Aug. 19, I shared details about the Perdido Regional Development Spar, the world’s deepest offshore drilling rig, operating off the coast of Texas. Today, I offer an update:
Shell Oil Co. said Tuesday it has set a world water-depth record by drilling and completing an oil well in 9,356 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico.
