The benefit of “first television interview” is merely of symbolic value. So he gave something that cost nothing to them. To me – that’s smart negotiating.
The interview was shorty and made excellent points.

To the poster above – people who voted for Obama did it so he would do the things he is doing thus far. This is an example of him following up on his election promises.

We know and like the fact that he has mixed ethnicities, loyalties and perspectives. That makes him personality capable of being a bridge.

This is what we voted for and with reason.

I am thoroughly disgusted that Obama chose to give his first interview to a people who have vowed to kill as many of us as possible. Our enemy! Should he be talking to these people? Absolutely! Should they be his first priority after taking office? Absolutely not! I have questions, I need answers, there are things I need to know and assurance I need from my president but those don’t interest him. I fear for the future of our country and it saddens me to see how many people have been deceived by this smooth talker. He talks but says little to nothing….I listen but I still am left with all my questions unanswered. Perhaps if I were of color or even more important, evidently, if I were Muslim…..he may be interested in what I have to say. God help us all……because this man will not.
