Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s recent proposal to include birth-control and abortion funding in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (a.k.a., H.R. 1 and “The Stimulus Package”) prompted public outcry in many forms.  One example can be found in the form of “Retroactive Birth Control, an editorial cartoon (above) by Michael at My Personal Litmus.

Though the above-mentioned public outcry resulted in the proposal’s birth-control language being pulled before it could be considered on the floor of the House of Representatives, conservatives should remain vigilant.  After all, Speaker Pelosi — the mother of five and grandmother of six — has many more bows in her quiver and appears ready to use them.
