The photo above, courtesy of Doug Ross, shows sailors gathered on the flight deck of a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier to witness the release of a Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility detainee from U.S. custody.

The unnamed detainee, described only as a senior Al-Qaeda official, was given $50 and a 1962 Ford Fairlane as part of President Barack Obama’s recently implemented “Catch-and-Release” program for dealing with terrorists.
