President Ronald Reagan’s first inaugural address contained realizations of the economic crisis in which the country found itself, but it also contained several common-sense statements President Barack Obama would do well to incorporate into his political repertoire.
Most noteworthy in the speech was the line below:
“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”
Lately, President Obama seems to have abandoned the occasionally-hopeful tone of the campaign trail and replaced it with one of fear and uncertainty in an attempt to sway public opinion in favor of his trillion-dollar spending bill (a.k.a., “Economic Stimulus Package”). Unless he wants to see his approval ratings plummet to the point where they compare with single-digit Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, he needs to do is watch — and learn from — President Reagan’s first inaugural address.

Good advice, but you know he won’t take it. Watch those numbers plummet.
