Gallup Poll: Only 1 in 5 Americans ‘Satisfied’

March 5th, 2009 · 1 Comment

In its radio and television commercials of old, Dentyne® claimed that 4 out of 5 dentists recommended their chewing gum to patients who chewed gum.  Unfortunately for President Barack Obama, the same ratio of Americans are not satisfied with the way things are going in the United States, according to Gallup Poll results released today.

Despite the hope and change promises made by Obama on the campaign trail and despite the fact that Obama has had more than four months to perform his miracles, only 20 percent of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the United States these days, according to Gallup.

If my math is right, today’s Gallup Poll results mean that some 80 percent of Americans are ripe for joining the Tea Party Movement inspired Feb. 19 by CNBC’s Rick Santelli call for a “Chicago Tea Party.” Hmmm?

It quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, looks like a duck, so Americans voted for it—–expecting a gazelle? Go figure.
