Seventy-five percent of Americans believe the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of an average citizen to own a gun, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey* of 1,000 adults conducted Feb. 27-28.
Just 14 percent say gun ownership is not a constitutional right, and 11 percent are not sure.
Of those with a gun-owner in the household, 89 percent say the Constitution guarantees a citizen’s right to own a gun. Sixty-four percent of those without a gun owner in the home agree.
*The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/-3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Those 75% need to understand the responsibility that has been passed onto them by our forefathers. We have the duty to defend the Constitution from what is currently happening–the development of a strong central government. In New Hampshire this week, their state legislature failed the state to defend the Constitution. Since the states are failing, it’s going to be up to us to see to it that our country continues in the vision of Jefferson.

Hey Bob,
I think the 25% that don’t says its a right or dont know must be the same 25% who say they trust government more than themselves and believe the government has their own source of money. Just saw those stats on glen beck today, simply amazing how stupid some are. LOL

Stupid or ignorant? Might be a little of both.

The right to bear arms is under attack by the current President and his Administration of Wall Street Appointees. So much for campaign promises.
