I'm twenty five now and I don't have any real tattoos. Kids have been using temporary tattoos for decades, I had even gotten them out of cereal boxes. When a child plays with a toy they play with it in a child-like way. I don't remember thinking 'ok barbie we're going down to the tattoo parlor!' As long as they arn't watching crap like MTV that is letting them know what tattoo parlors and tramp stamps are then they should be fine playing with the doll.
