Thanks to the ruthless and inept 30-year leadership of Robert Mugabe, the economic situation in Zimbabwe is so bad that an advertising agency created billboards, flyers and wallpaper out of near-worthless Zimbabwean currency. Due to the similarly-inept leadership — or lack thereof — of Barack Obama, I’m afraid that the future of the U.S. dollar might also be in billboards.
The similarities between the United States and Zimbabwe — and their leaders — are quite striking:
- The leaders of both countries have African roots and believe in strong central government control, high taxes and the use of thuggery and mob tactics to maintain their power; and
- The economies of both countries have crumbled under their leadership, and their currencies lose value almost daily.
