Despite campaign pledges that he would adopt a rescue dog, President Barack Obama’s latest addition to the family — a six-month-old Portugese Water Dog named “Bo” — did not come from a pet shelter, according to the Center for Consumer Freedom’s latest news release, Animal Activists Jump to Pump Doggie Dollars Out of “Bo”bama.  But that’s not the reason why I decided to publish this post.  I’m simply thankful that the Obama family gave their dog the name, “Bo.”

Why am I thankful?  Because I have a pair of merchandise lines — THERE’S NO ROOM FOR B.O. IN THE WHITE HOUSE and BARACK OBAMA: B.O. EQUALS B.S. — for sale at The Bob McCarty Shop, and one of the keywords I use to attract search engine interest in those lines is “BO.”  So much news about the new First Dog has a lot of people are searching for the term, “BO.” As a result, I’ve seen an uptick in traffic during the past couple of days.

Thanks, “Bo!”
