Government healthcare will be a disaster. As you say, look at the UK, Canada and any other nation with the government in charge. Rationing, refusal of treatments and surgeries, forcing doctors and medical workers to do procedures that are morally against their beliefs.
Many physicians here in the US are totally against this, many have said they would change professions or leave healthcare. What’s going to happen then?
