Interesting to say the least." Of course they had to have a law firm behind them. How on earth would the indigenous people been able to fund a lawsuit with Chevron/Texaco for 18+ years? Of course they had to have a law firm behind them. How on earth would the indigenous people been able to fund a lawsuit with Chevron/Texaco for 18+ years? This fact does not take away from the heart of the case – unprecedented deliberate harm done by Chevron purely for profit.
