Here’s what people are mad as hell about: the fact that, regardless of what the government is spending the money on, the government is on course to RUIN our economy, our standard of living, our national security and our Republic with its corrupt, absolutely unsustainable deficit spending, its magic Zimbabwe printing presses, and massive debt-mongering.

This is why there is a wildfire for tax revolt now. Americans have been paying through the nose for programs they depise, and know are wrong for our country, for decades. But the Obama administration is not just about such programs. It’s about setting a course that may irretrievably and fundamentally change our form of government.

Of course this is a cause for protest: our country is at stake. If people can find a way to protest through the tax system, more power to them (as Ghandi noted).

The reality today, however, is that civil disobedience to the IRS does not entail just possibly loss of physical freedom, which many people would gladly endure. It entails the potential for utter financial devastation for the individual and his family.

So, yeah, most people aren’t in the position to refuse to pay taxes altogether, because their first obligation is to try to provide for their family.

Why should we fund the bottom feeders with our tax money. Single mothers with 5 babies daddy’s, HIV pts, ETOH abusers, STD funds and Viagra for sex offenders. I work at a Community Health Center it is a disgrace how our tax money is flushed down toilet. Medicaid! and they feel intitled and refuse to work, and they are NOT ashamed to make these type of statements.

Grant — First of all, I paraphrased what I heard him say and did not include every word he uttered. If, however, you check a transcript, I think you’ll find he did not commit to not paying his taxes during the show. Second, if you’re trying to pick a fight with me, you’re off base, because I think we’re on the same side.
