Mother of 14-Year-Old Rants About Murder Charge

May 29th, 2009 · 7 Comments

Yesterday, I published a post, Self-Defense Claim on Trial in Oklahoma City about a pharmacist who fought back against armed assailants and now faces first-degree murder charges.  Today, I bring you a news report from The Oklahoman which features the mother of a 14-year-old boy issuing an impassioned video plea (above) for her son to get a second chance.  It turns out that her son was charged as an accomplice in the murder of his fellow would-be robber.

Whether you agree with her or not, the emotional tension displayed in the video is palpable.

She can rant all she wants, but her son was in the wrong.

Some people just drive me nuts. What are people like the pharmacist supposed to do? Sit back and let somebody rob, injure or kill them and do nothing? I don’t think so.

16-year-old Antwun Parker and his 14 year old accomplice should have thought twice before trying to rob this man by waving their own, probably illegal, weapons around.

This pharmacist should never have been tried or arrested to begin with and I hope gun owners around the country rally behind him if he is convicted.

Those coons got exactly what they deserved, and that begging bi-t-ch, she can beg all she wants to, but her son should be shocked to death so that my tax dollar does not feed him while he is behind the slammer. Beside, that’s one less looter later on in life.

It’s sad to watch the racial epithets, the justifications for going past what is lawful, and the callous opinions being made over this case.

I’ve watched as some have tried to use the Castle Doctrine as a blanket policy to execute those who commit crime, but the one thing that will remove the protection under that same doctrine is firing on an incapacitated suspect. Going down this path is a very dangerous road. Society cannot tolerate those who take a vigilante attitude, and make themselves Judge, Jury and Executioner. That path is no better than the gang-styled tactics and is clearly against the law.

And lastly, the boy is receiving many “2nd chances.” He’s breathing air this morning, if he is charged as a youthful offender then the death penalty comes off the table, and again he breathes air another day, and if he is charged with life in prison, he stands a good chance of breathing air another day, and if he pays his debt to society, he may one day be offered parole. I think that is so much more than a “2nd chance”….

Her “baby” ??? He was a freaking armed robber that walked into a Pharmacy demanding drugs and money – he got what was coming to him – his buddy should have been put down too – just like a dog that bites.
