As expected, General Motors filed for bankruptcy at 7 a.m. Central this morning. The world’s largest automaker will reportedly accept more than $30 billion in financing in exchange for giving the federal government a 60 percent equity stake in the company. Meanwhile, GM stockholders must still in a state of shock as the value of their GM shares hovers around 75 cents per share.
