Below is the the first paragraph of a just-released news release about the Justice Department’s decision to launch an investigation into the murder of controversial late-term abortion provider, Dr. George Tiller:

The Department’s Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas have launched a federal investigation into federal crimes in connection with the murder of Dr. George Tiller. The federal probe will consist of a thorough review of the evidence and an assessment of any potential violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) or other federal statutes. The federal investigation will be conducted in close coordination with the Office of the Sedgwick County, Kan., District Attorney, and the state’s ongoing murder prosecution will have the full support of federal investigators.

The question I have now is this:  When, if ever, will the Obama Administration launch a federal investigation into the death of one U.S. soldier and the wounding of another at an Army-Navy Recruiting Station in Arkansas?  To me, the president seems much more interested in investigating the murder of an abortion provider — whom one group estimates is responsible for as many as 60,000 baby deaths during the past 30 years — than he does the killer of an American soldier.
