Writer Offers Thoughts About Celebrities’ Deaths

June 28th, 2009 · No Comments

Ed Farrah Michael Billy

In the wake of the deaths of four famous people in recent days, my friend Ron English at Salvation Links wrote a pair of posts well worth reading.

In the first post, he wrote about the deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson and noted how the celebrities were famous and how each had earned a place in the hearts of millions.  In the same sentence, he stated the obvious — that is, “But now they are each dead.”  He ended the sentence by asking a question: “What can we draw from this?”  Click here to learn what this former Baptist preacher has to share in answer to his own question.

In the second post, he offers observations about Billy Mays, the self-described “pitchman” who died today in much the same manner as Jackson — at the age of 50 and totally unexpected.  Though the second post contains no deep philosophical or theological thoughts, it very well could have.  Click here to read it.
