In an article Friday, World Net Daily reported Friday that some members of Congress — including Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-Va.) and Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) — are demanding answers to why, six months after election day in November, voter intimidation charges against members of the New Black Panther Party in Pennsylvania were dismissed by the Department of Justice.
It was on Nov. 4 that I published a piece, ‘Tryouts’ Held for Civilian National Security Force, which included the video below:
In a follow-up post May 29, the day we learned that the Obama administration has asked that charges of election day voter intimidation against three members of the New Black Panthers Party for Self-Defense be dropped, I asked the question, Why is White House Protecting Black Panthers?
Yesterday, Hot Air’s Green Room revisited the issue in this post and included a link to the May 29 post in which I revealed that one of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, was an elected member of the local Democratic Committee and, at the time of the incident, was a “credentialed poll watcher for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party“.
Here’s to hoping that other members of Congress will join Representatives Wolf and Smith as they strive to bring this issue back to the forefront and bring justice to Philadelphia voters.
UPDATE 5/12/10 at 1:55 p.m. Central: The Washington Times reports today that an Obama Administration official, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, will attempt May 14 to explain why the Obama Administration dropped federal voter intimidation charges against two New Black Panthers. Can’t wait to hear that yarn.

Just wondering what the evidence is that these two guys were in fact engaged in any real “intimidation.”
Care to point to any? Are there any voters who were prevented, or even allege they were prevented, from entering the polling place?
No intimidation is evident in the video posted, unless you count repetition of the word “intimidating” by the guy holding the cellphone camera.
Could it be that the charges were not pursued because there’s no evidence that any actual “intimidation” occurred?

[...] This White House directed thuggery culminated in the beating and hospitalization of Kenneth Gladney in Saint Louis. Andy Stern’s S.E.I.U. thugs didn’t approve of a black man peddling patriotic products at a townhall protest, so they beat the hell out of him. Months later, Eric Holder, United States Attorney General, saw fit to make sure assault charges were dropped against the Obama race enforcers just as in the Black Panther voter intimidation case! [...] At long last, an elected public official is going to actually pursue voter fraud by ACORN. What a concept! [...]
