Democrats’ Not-So-Secret Weapon Photographed

August 19th, 2009 · 1 Comment

I suspect nearly every elected Democrat — and a good number of Republicans — in Washington, D.C., owns a device — a secret weapon of sorts — like the one shown in the photograph above.  Revealed to readers of this blog for the first time, the device shown above is used by misguided politicians as [...]

August 19th, 2009 · No Comments

According to news reports like this one, as many as 60,000 people have canceled their AARP memberships since a Dallas-area town hall meeting on health care reform Aug. 6 went terribly wrong. If the video below, from a town hall forum held yesterday in Brevard County, Fla., is any indication, things aren’t getting much better [...]

If public protests over President Barack Obama’s so-called “health care reform” plan continue and more sections of the ghastly legislation are removed in the same manner as the “death panel” was removed last week, perhaps the rest of [...]

Swine Flu Scare Makes a Comeback 33 Years Later

August 17th, 2009 · 1 Comment

In 1976, the U.S. government implored all Americans to be vaccinated as “protection” against Swine Flu — and 46 million Americans took the shot, according to a report by Mike Wallace of CBS’s “60 Minutes“.  Afterward, some 4,000 of those who took the shot filed claims for damages — up to and including paralysis and [...]

Young Artist’s Work on Display

August 16th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Every once in a while, I have to ignore the dark side of life (i.e., politics) and focus instead on the arts.  That in mind, below are four drawings completed by my 13-year-old son using the online tools available at OneMotion.com.  Enjoy! At right, “Butters on TV” depicts a frequent occurrence in our family room [...]
