That was a good answer, and he knows it. By saying "I was actually black before the election" he meant that he obviously wouldn't have won if the country was racist. On the other hand, I'd be willing to bet he was asked that very question in every interview over the weekend, and he knew he would be asked that question likely because he suggested he'd be asked that question, because he wants to be seen answering that question to help with his numbers, which have taken a serious nose-dive. He knows how many people were in Washington on 9/12, and he knows what it means. This is damage control. It's true, too, and he knows it on a certain level. But it's imperative that he's seen telling everyone he doesn't think the country is racist. G-D America. ;-) Well, I’ll give Obama credit where credit is due.
