‘Age of Stupid’ Hates Inconvenient Questions

September 24th, 2009 · No Comments

Irish filmmaker Phelim McAleer had the nerve to ask celebrity attendees at the New York City premiere of a new enviro-docudrama, The Age of Stupid, an inconvenient question: “Can you tell me how you got here?” Not surprisingly, he was booted from the venue and prevented from asking any more questions or conducting more interviews as a result.

Three people associated with the film — Actress Gillian Anderson and Moby (described as a well-known DJ), and the director, Franny Armstrong — answered his question before he was sent on his way. All admitted they had flown to the engagement in direct contradiction to the message of the film (i.e., flying is the biggest single cause of global warming). Watch his experience in the video below.

Like those he interviewed (and attempted to interview), McAleer knows something about making movies.  Along with Ann McElhinney, he produced the film, Not Evil, Just Wrong, a documentary that shows how extreme environmentalism is damaging the lives of millions of vulnerable people around the world.

To show the world you agree with McAleer and McElhinney, help them get their film out.  To learn more about the film and how you can help, click here.

To show the world you generally disagree with the global warming crowd, consider sporting one of the designs found here and here and shown below.
