Patriotic Americans in the St. Louis area are invited to attend the “We’ve Got Their Backs” rally Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Kirkwood (Mo.) City Hall, located at 139 South Kirkwood Road (map).

This one-hour event, being organized by three representatives of several area grassroots groups, is intended not only to show support for U.S. troops and their mission in Afghanistan, but also to encourage President Barack Obama and members of Congress to stop procrastinating, to listen to commanders in the field, to make tough decisions and to give the troops everything they need to accomplish the mission and bring the war in Afghanistan to a resounding and successful conclusion.
