During the 48 hours since the U.S. House of Representatives passed its so-called “health care reform plan,” at least four large companies have announced plans to slash a total of 13,000 jobs. The list appear below:
Johnson & Johnson — 8,000 employees
Sprint — 2,500 jobs
Pfizer — 2,000 jobs
Electronic Arts — 1,500 jobs
Of course, the list does not include countless decisions made by thousands of small business owners around the country to lay off “only” dozens or hundreds of employees.
Can’t wait to see what happens if the U.S. Senate follows suit and President Barack Obama makes government-run health care a reality (sarcasm).
