I’m not a Catholic, but, like the makers of the video above, I support any and all efforts to prevent groups like ACORN from receiving funding through less-than-transparent means such as the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

In case you’re not familiar with CCHD, the group played a big role in getting Barack Obama elected and will conduct its annual push for funds at Catholic churches across the nation on Sunday.  Before ending its funding for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now in 2008, CCHD had given the scandal-ridden organization $7.3 million in funding.

According to the calling-for-a-boycott video below, none of the dollars raised in the CCHD drive this year will go to soup kitchens, crisis pregnancy centers or homeless shelters.  Instead, 30 to 50 percent will go to community organizing groups and other dollars raised will go to groups that, among other things, fund abortion and promote illegal immigration.

If you’re Catholic, send a message to the Catholic bishops behind the CCHD campaign by dropping a nut in the collection basket on Sunday.
