Uncle Jay reminds viewers today that it’s almost Thanksgiving, a time when we go from sharing our blessings with friends and family one day to trampling them to death at the mall on Black Friday. His word of the week is “class” — as in having good taste or showing respect.
In this week’s edition of Uncle Jay Explains the News, the funnyman talks about how Newsweek showed no class when they used a photo of Sarah Palin in jogging clothes on the magazine’s cover. In addition, he talks about President Barack Obama’s struggles in dealing with the war in Afghanistan and legislative battles over health care.
The list of other topics covered includes changes in credit card regulations, changes in Oprah Winfrey’s future on television and a question about whether movies like “Forrest Gump” and “Pirate Radio” accurately depict life in the 1960s.
