An estimated 2,500 patriots protested against government-run health care and rampant socialism during a rally this afternoon at Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis.

As the video and photos (above and below) indicate, they came in all colors, shapes and sizes to hear from a lineup that included, but was not limited to, the following speakers:  Michael Carey of the American Council for Affordable and Reliable Energy; Dave McArthur, owner of McArthur’s Bakery in St. Louis’; James O’Keefe, one of the college students who helped expose corruption and lawlessness at ACORN at BigGovernment.com; and, my favorite, Marty Martinez, a first-generation American from O’Fallon, Mo., who implored the crowd not to let the United States go the way of his native Cuba (See my Oct. 31 interview of him here).

UPDATE 11/28/09 at 10:18 p.m. Central: I received word from the folks at K-N-Patriots.org that more than 100 people showed up for their weekly anti-socialism rally this afternoon at the intersection of Highways K and N in O’Fallon, Mo.  Not familiar with it?  Read about the rallies here.
