I just got back to Jackson County, Tn . The Rick Santorum meeting. Sponsored by the Chattanooga Tea Party. The press release spoke of how Rick was there 3rd choice to speak., not knowing that Rick was going to be in the 1st or 2nd position . Rick was very passionate about his conservative roots and vision for America. Rick spoke from the heart and had several standing ovations. The crowd was there to see Rick, and they filled the room. Rick had spoke for over an hour without a (prompter) and was going to field questions when the monitor, a rep from the Chattanooga Tea Party told Rick that his time was up. To this Voter I felt that it was very rude and the Tea Party had an agenda for the local politicians when most of the crowd was from other parts of the country. 90% of the audience just got up and left and there was a very small group left for the rest of the program. I did not believe the way they treated the man who may well be the next president of the country.

one of your best articles yet, Bob! The early part of the article was a little heartbreaking, but sometimes the truth hurts... I am a Japan culture enthusiast/fan like nobody. :o(

Hi Bob,
Thanks for mentioning our visit to St Louis - and to all who kindly answered my interview, thank you! You are right, this time my story was mostly about climate change policy and its affect on American industry ( I was following Mike Carey of Ohio Coal Association), but St Louis Tea Party got me interested so much that I am sure the tea party movement will be one of my focus in the run-up to 2010 mid term elections!
Thanks St.Louis -and Bob it was great talking to you! (It is very rare to go to Mid West and meet someone who knows about NHK :) )
