"Yikes! I Might Be...Militia!"
Few would disagree with the assertion that four words now appearing on the White House web site constitute “the fundamental question on health insurance reform.” Those words are “WHO DO YOU TRUST?”
In order to answer that question, I compared the White House “spin” to what I heard directly from medical professionals and others in the St. Louis area.
First, I clicked on the graphic (above) which shows the aforementioned question in the form of a headline to the left of a photo of a very concerned-looking Vice President Joe Biden.
Instantly, I was whisked to a page featuring a two-paragraph introduction to a 3.5-minute video (below) featuring Biden and two others — a nurse representing the American Nurses Association and a physician from the American Academy of Family Physicians — who, according to the White House, “know our heath care system best.” Watch the video, and find out what they say.
Next, I compared what the people in the White House video said to what physicians, nurses and others told me when I spoke with them Nov. 21 at the Million Med March rally in against government-run health care [FYI: On short notice, that event drew several hundred to Memorial Plaza outside the St. Louis County Government Building in Clayton, Mo.]
In both a post on this blog and an article for PAJAMAS MEDIA, I highlighted how several physicians and nurses feel about the so-called “reforms” now being tossed around in the nation’s capitol. The 90-second video (below) provides highlights. Watch my video, and find out what doctors outside of Washington, D.C., say.
After watching both the White House video and the video I shot, the question remains: “WHO DO YOU TRUST?”
I don’t know about you, but I’ll trust the doctors who oppose government-run health care and all of the negatives that come with it.

I agree there is a need for a health care reform, however it is not the kind of reform proposed.
What we need is more freedom of choice and competition to reduce costs. A single-payer health care system will create a monopoly and will lead to corruption. Look around the world, such as Canada, with their single-payer health care system. It is a disaster. People die in the emergency room waiting for a doctor. People who sponsor this bill are either ignorant about economics (99% of the population is) or have vested interests (hypocrites)
