A piece published yesterday in the Peoria Journal-Star does a good job of highlighting the debate that took place between two Illinois Congressmen — Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) and Rep. Phil Hare (D-Rock Island) — on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews Tuesday.
Watch the video above to understand how screwed up the thinking of people like Democrat Hare truly is when it comes to the debate over whether or not we should keep terrorists imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay or move them to a place like Thomson, Ill.
In short, Representative Schock makes the sound point that the Obama Administration is putting so-called “economic stimulus” for a small Illinois town above proven national security benefits of the secure facility in Cuba.
