"Yikes! I Might Be...Militia!"
Al Gore must be working as a consultant at Build-A-Bear Workshop®. Evident in the company’s three “Build-A-Bearville®” videos below is an unhealthy dose of the junk science-laden, polar-bears-are-dying propaganda on which the former vice president has made hundreds of millions of dollars since leaving public office.
I’m thinking the St. Louis-based company should consider changing its name to Build-A-Scare Workshop.

UPDATE 12/25/09 at 10:44 p.m. Central: I just learned that Maxine Clark, founder and chief executive bear at Build-A-Bear Workshop®, published a letter to let the world know the company’s reasoning behind the webisode videos and that the webisodes will no longer be available on the site.

This is what I wrote her:
Dear Ms. Clark,
There is no way that I could ever adequately express my disgust with the Under the North Star Build-A-Bear video. Our family has dozens of little stuffed furry beasts along with cute clothing that originally came from your retail stores. After watching these videos we will never step foot in one of your stores again! Not ever! We will also inform our many friends to stay away from Build-A-Bear stores. There is no excuse for Build-A-Bear to be spreading this type of propaganda in such an insidious manner. Polluting and terrorizing young minds with this kind of nonsense is immoral.
The theory that anthropogenic generated CO2 is a significant influence on the climate of the planet is quickly losing favor among the scientific elite. The facts have not supported the theory. The most reliable data shows that there has been no statistically significant global warming in over ten years. Sea levels which had been rising at a constant rate for hundreds of years have in fact slowed their progress in the past few years. The amount of ice at the South Pole has increased so significantly that observation sites have had to be relocated or modified on many occasions. The Bay of Whales, on Antarctica’s Ross Ice Shelf, the disembarking point of the Amundsen expeditions in 1911, froze over and is now completely gone. A ship can’t get to within a hundred of where Amundsen’s base was located. Planes that landed in Greenland during WWII had to be dug out from under hundreds of feet of ice.
Recently thousands of emails and data released from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit showed without any doubt that data had been intentionally manipulated, the peer review process had been corrupted, and science had taken a back seat to politics and funding. Climategate is quite literally the greatest scandal in modern science.
Ms. Clark, I don’t blame you for being mislead by scientific charlatans whom the media is only recently beginning to expose. I do blame you for dragging our children into a subject that even adults are having a difficult time understanding. I especially am disgusted by your efforts to scare kids by threatening them with the end of Santa and Christmas. I will never forgive you for traumatizing children over this giant hoax!

The sub title says an Uplifting Christmas adventure. What a joke. I am a fundamental Christian and proud of the fact though ashamed that I do not live up to my beliefs. We use to tell children the real Uplifting Christmas Adventure through the Charlie Brown and Little Drummer Boy animation Now the truth has been replaced by Fairy Tales. the people who bring you these lies are the same people who believe in Evolution, Abortion and Homosexuals as normal. They have a religious bias even though they are scientist. Everybody has a religious bias. The irony of all this is that they say Christians try to scare you by using scare tactics with hell when they are doing the exact same thing the only difference is we sre speaking the truth. “It is appointed unto man once to die after this the judgement” Hebrews 9:27 There is no reincarnation and nor does it end upon death it merely starts. kids but officaily theres somthing wrong with your head now leave buildabear alone kids love buildabear so much and im not going to let you old man ruin it and you know what every single day theres always going to be kids running through doors to get to a buildabear over 500,000 kids still love buildabear theres also another person whos doing the same as you
