"W"

Several times each day, I find in my inbox one of those “must-forward” e-mails from some well-intentioned person upset with someone or something.  Usually, I delete them quickly.  Today, however, I felt compelled to share excerpts (below) from one such message that uses rhetorical questions to slam the media bias apparent when one compares coverage of President Barack Obama to that given President George W. Bush [Note: When worthwhile, I've added to the e-mail with photos, video and links (in parentheses) at the end of each question]:

• If “W” had been the first president to need a tele-prompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes? • If “W” had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved? (See “Do You Believe Caption of White House Photo?“)
  

• If “W” had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved? (See “Is Madoff More Trustworthy Than Geithner?“)
  

• If “W” had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, would you have said that he is clueless?

• If “W” had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved? (See “There’s a Czar for That“)

The e-mail concluded with this message:  “So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 12  months — so you’ll have three years  to come up with an answer.”

I love it.
