A friend pointed me to an AT&T-Yahoo online opinion poll today that asks visitors to respond to a single question about President Barack Obama and the economy.
The question is worded this way: The president’s progress with the battered economy has been both praised and criticized. How well are his efforts measuring up with you? The possible answers read like this:
- Extremely well. We are undoubtedly moving in the right direction.
- Fairly well. There’s still a long way to go.
- Not well at all. His plans are hurting more than helping.
- Not sure/No opinion.
As of 7:30 a.m. today, 63 percent of more than 52 million voters had chosen, “Not well at all. His plans are hurting more than helping.”
Stunning.
