There is a clear difference. The title to the lecture is misleading without actually having listened to the lecture. I have listened to the lecture and the 'enemy' Skaykh Khalid talks about is not an external person or organization or anything of that sort; the enemy is ourselves, or rather our 'nafs' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nafs), our animalistic desires. Khalid talks about controlling our desires to drive us to doing good and not letting our desires control us.
