As the afternoon temperature approached 60 degrees for the first time this year, approximately 75 conservatives participated in a rally against socialism Saturday, March 6, at the intersection of Highways K and N in O’Fallon, Mo. The video below offers highlights of the sentiments expressed at the rally.
Rally participants caught the attention of passing motorists at the busy intersection by waving signs bearing timely messages about topics such as excessive government spending and taxation and the so-called health care reform (a.k.a., “ObamaCare”) being pushed by President Barack Obama and his liberal cohorts in Congress.
They also caught the attention of at least three Republican candidates for public office who stopped by to talk about issues that will prove important at the ballot box in August and November. Spotted at the intersection were: Jim Schmidt, candidate for the U.S. Senate; Rep. Cynthia Davis, candidate for Missouri Senate District 2 ; and Kurt Bahr, candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives District 19.
Taking time off only when temperatures dipped well below freezing, K & N Patriots has sponsored weekly rallies at the intersection for nearly a year.

“my wife’s social security got knocked down, my social security got knocked down”, that’s the whole problem with “entitlements”. We must all sacrifice to correct the financial problems that our country faces and our future generations.
If only GW and the Republican majority had pushed for Social Security reform like Barry is doing with healthcare!
The only entitlement we have is the $ that we contributed to SS. Give it back to me and let me invest on my own.
I don’t want to depend upon the government except for my family’s safety and protection.

Mr. McCarty, Thank you for continuing to cover the K&N rallies. My wife, 4 kids and I have been out almost every week since last summer having a great time with fellow patriots and will continue to rally as long as socialism remains a threat to our nation. We invite all like-minded patriots to join us every Saturday from noon-2pm. This rally is not about politics, it’s about freedom! – Kurt

Kurt Bahr brings his family just about every Saturday. He is always there. You can tell it is him because he will be carrying his 6 month old baby. Kurt brings his whole family to the fight for freedom.
