An 18-wheeler being loaded with fuel exploded in southeast San Antonio today, according to a local news report.
The explosion took place at the AGE Refining Inc. refinery located at Southeast Military Drive and South Presa Street.
This marks the second major incident to take place at the refinery which supplies jet fuel for the U.S. Air Force and diesel to the city’s transportation agency, among other things. In 1995, according to the company’s web site, the refinery’s main crude unit suffered an extensive fire.
The “elephant in the room” question now is this: Was it an accident or an act of terror?
