This morning, I came across a USA TODAY article and related video (below) that I had bookmarked nearly two years ago as I was in the early stage of writing my first nonfiction book, “Three Days In August: A U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight For Military Justice.” After rereading the article and watching the video again, I’m reminded of the similarities between the cases of Nino Lions and Army Green Beret Sgt. 1st Class Kelly A. Stewart and the reasons why I bookmarked it in the first place.
Now, watch the trailer for my book and see if you see any similarities.
All of the horrific details of Sergeant Stewart’s court-martial, time in prison and appeals process can be found in my book, Three Days in August: A U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight For Military Justice.
Based on extensive interviews and never-before-published details taken from the actual Record of Trial, it paints a portrait of military justice gone awry that’s certain to make your blood boil.
