After accidentally finding the love of his life through an online contest he stages, a thrice-jilted millionaire must overcome deception and a devious tabloid reporter to see the relationship survive. Those words boil down the storyline — or, in Hollywood parlance, represent the “logline” — of my first completed screenplay, Apply Online.
The document below constitutes the first 30 pages of my screenplay. Though it’s a romantic comedy that falls well outside my usual writing arena, I hope you’ll read it and give some feedback about my first stab at being a screenwriter. I’m not claiming to be on the level of someone like Roger Wolfson just yet, as this is my first foray into the world of screenwriting, but I do hope you’ll find some merit in what I have written so far.
Again, I hope you enjoyed it and would like to know more. Please leave your comments below and/or feel free to contact me via the contact information listed on the title page if you work in the film industry and are looking for new material or know someone who is.
