In a post Wednesday, I reported that a joint anti-war protest and immigrants rights rally was set to take place today in Pilsen, the heart of the Chicago’s Latino community. And it did. Unfortunately, it appears most Chicago media outlets seem content with providing little or no coverage of the rally. Perhaps, it’s part of [...]

Despite Attemps by Chicago City Officials to Prevent It, Anti-War Rally Set for Saturday
March 11th, 2009 · 2 Comments
If the fact that an anti-war protest is set to take place this weekend in Chicago is any indication, President Barack Obama seems to have let down some of the very people he once counted among his most-ardent supporters: the anti-war set. But that’s not the most important aspect of this post.
This is: Only [...]

August 25th, 2008 · No Comments
The 2008 Democratic National Convention opened today in Denver with anti-establishment liberals, anarchists and other protesters doing what they do best — causing trouble. I found the photos above telling in that they combine to show clear evidence of disunity at the event intended to show American voters a “united” Democratic front.

Another ‘Greatest Generation’ Hero Passes
August 7th, 2008 · No Comments
When I learned of the passing of Eric “Digger” Dowling, another hero from the “Greatest Generation,” I couldn’t help but think about how his efforts may have been received by anti-war and environmental-extremist liberals had they taken place today.
In case you’re not familiar with his story, Dowling was a British man whose efforts as a [...]
